About the role
- Deliver financial accounting activities including month end close for the Supermarkets portfolio
- Deliver Balance Sheet reconciliations for Supermarkets in line with the Balance Sheet Policy
- Support business and internal stakeholders on ad‑hoc projects requiring financial or technical accounting assistance, including involvement in new business opportunities or initiatives
- Deliver financial controls governance testing for Supermarkets as required under the Financial Controls Governance program
- Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to the offshore team
Requirements
- CA, CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification
- Experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier accounting firm, combined with experience in Retail, FMCG or an ASX‑listed organisation
- Proven experience working with and coordinating a diverse range of stakeholders, with the ability to operate effectively cross‑functionally
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving abilities with a continuous‑improvement mindset
- Advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of SAP, SAP HR and TM1 viewed favourably.
