About the role
- Responsible for the implementation, support, and operation of relevant Linux and related automation technologies from build through to implementation and system maintenance.
- Ensure appropriate quality and security standards are applied across all Linux based platforms and provide technical standards and solutions to meet business needs within technical area of expertise.
- Perform aspects of development, implementation and support of infrastructure across the organisation.
- Monitor, maintain and respond to incidents and problems in accordance with Production System SLA’s.
- Develop detailed designs for new and existing technologies to enable deployment throughout the business.
- Manage assigned technologies, with consideration for: return on investment, life cycle management, business continuity planning and service level management.
- Provide technical expertise and advice as appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years relevant technical experience
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and supporting enterprise based computing infrastructure in a large scale, complex and distributed business environment
- Demonstrated Shell, Puppet, Ansible, Perl, PHP, SQL, Python, YAML coding skills.
- Demonstrated skills in automation workflow tools – Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, GIT to deliver IAC in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in DevOps practices & CI/CD skills using tools such as Go, Jenkins, GIT, Bit Bucket, Confluence, Jira
- Demonstrated ability to write technical and procedural documentation.
