About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and enhance automated, AI-first processes for legal e-billing and outside counsel management.
Drive implementation of outside counsel spend strategy, including reviewing and benchmarking law firm billing rates and fee structures.
Own the monthly accruals process and legal vendor onboarding workflows in partnership with FP&A.
Administer and maintain the Brightflag legal e-billing system and provide stakeholder training.
Analyze outside counsel spend data to produce reports, scorecards, and actionable insights.
Partner with FP&A, Sourcing, and EAA on budgets, forecasting, and vendor strategy.
Own and manage onboarding of law firms.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of outside counsel management experience at an in-house legal practice, preferably at a high-growth technology company.
Experience managing legal accruals, forecasting inputs, and month-end financial processes with FP&A.
Hands-on experience with legal e-billing platforms such as Brightflag or comparable systems.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including formulas, data manipulation, reconciliation, trackers, and analyses.
Experience project managing operational initiatives from inception to execution, including process design, tool implementation, and vendor onboarding workflows.
Experience with data tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Looker, or similar for reports and dashboards.
Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
