About the role

  • Own the end-to-end external narrative for Base
  • Drive traditional PR, media relations, podcasts, and high-impact speaking opportunities
  • Operate natively on Crypto Twitter
  • Serve as a high-conviction sounding board for leadership
  • Translate onchain innovation into compelling narratives for mainstream audiences
  • Redefine the comms workflow by leveraging AI tools
  • Work seamlessly with Marketing, BD, Social, and Coinbase Corporate Comms

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in PR/Communications
  • Proven track record of placing stories in top-tier publications (Bloomberg, CNBC, TechCrunch)
  • Experience managing high-stakes crises
  • Deep personal network within the Ethereum and L2 ecosystem (nice to have)
  • Experience navigating the intersection of decentralized technology and traditional regulatory/financial narratives (nice to have)
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment where you had to build a function from the ground up (nice to have)
