About the role
- Own the end‑to‑end design vision for trading experiences across the everything exchange, from discovery and evaluation through placing and managing trades.
- Lead large, quarter‑long initiatives to rethink and redesign core trade flows, going beyond incremental speed improvements to re‑architect how customers pick markets, understand risk/reward, and complete trades.
- Translate a diverse set of team needs across the entire company into a unified, scalable system that feels coherent and delightful to customers.
- Explore and define new ways to make trading intuitive, engaging, and delightful. From interaction patterns and motion to the architecture of how information and controls are surfaced.
- Drive complex “zero‑to‑one” or major redesign projects from problem framing and concept development through detailed interaction and visual design, prototyping, validation, and launch.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product design experience, including staff‑level or equivalent scope owning major end‑to‑end product areas.
- A strong systems thinking orientation: you’ve designed across complex product architectures, not just isolated features, and can show how your work reorganized or simplified entire flows.
- Demonstrated experience shipping visually rich, interaction‑heavy consumer or prosumer products where hierarchy, typography, color, motion, and micro‑interactions materially impact usability and brand perception.
- Proven ability to operate in high‑visibility, “special project” contexts with senior stakeholders and executive attention, navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
- Comfort working in complex problem spaces like trading, financial products, or marketplaces; you don’t need to be a trading expert on day one, but you should have a strong interest in markets and a willingness to learn quickly.
- A collaborative, low‑ego working style; you’re excited to partner with PMs, engineers, data, and other designers to get to the best outcome for customers.
