About the role
- Own the strategic and tactical roadmap for the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function and for policy and compliance teams’ use of our key platforms, aligning outcomes to Coinbase’s strategic priorities.
- Translate multi-year strategy into an executable plan by defining problem statements, target outcomes, and a prioritized backlog of capabilities, features, and technologies with clear KPIs/OKRs.
- Lead end-to-end delivery across discovery, scoping, and execution with agile teams; manage risks, dependencies, and timelines; and drive adoption through change management, enablement, and training.
- Establish governance and communication rhythms to define, manage, and communicate the roadmap; run stakeholder reviews; and provide executive-ready updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
- Raise the bar on platform quality by driving standardization, interoperability, data quality, and embedded controls across ERM and compliance workflows; ensure scalability, reliability, and auditability.
- Act as a thought partner to senior leaders on ERM and compliance platform strategy, bringing external perspective and best practices to inform decisions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience, preferably in business applications development or product management for internal products
- Process and business understanding in the domains of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Compliance, Technology Risk
- Background working within an Agile environment and using Jira
- Cross functional experience working on technical challenges across diverse business units (ERM, Compliance, Product, Legal, Finance). Able to align diverse stakeholders—from engineers to compliance teams—behind a shared vision.
- Experience working with large and small companies (if only one, preference for large company experience)
- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Business Administration desired
- Experience with vendor management and third party software implementations
- Experience with managing or implementing Archer, Workiva or similar ERM platform is desired
- Multi-project management skills
