About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure monitoring solutions using Dynatrace
- Install, monitor, configure, and troubleshoot Dynatrace-related components
- Performance tuning and capacity planning
- Develop and maintain custom dashboards and reports
- Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
- Support operational teams in creating policies, alerts, dashboards, and custom configurations
- Develop and document monitoring best practices
- Identify and implement process and procedure improvements
- Recommend monitoring thresholds, performance KPIs, and SLAs
- Enable event management and analysis with Splunk
- Investigate and analyze events in Splunk
- Develop and operate infrastructure, processes, and automations
- Analyze performance data and act on negative trends
- Integrate alerts from multiple systems into a single monitoring solution
- Participate in customer-focused projects
- Manage client expectations effectively
- Conduct deep investigations into reliability and scalability issues
- Perform other duties as required
- Willingness to travel when required
Requirements
- Degree in Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, VMware, operating systems, and Kubernetes
- Operational monitoring experience
- Performance trend analysis
- Generating alerts for degraded or unavailable services
- Fluent English
- 3+ years of experience in monitoring and troubleshooting with at least two of the following tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, or SolarWinds
- 3+ years of experience with Dynatrace, including:
- Synthetic monitoring (URLs)
- Agent and forwarder installation
- Use of APIs
- Alerts, dashboards, and trend analysis
- Deep knowledge of enterprise log analysis frameworks
- Strong conceptual understanding and practical application of methods and processes
- Openness to change, continuous learning, flexibility, adaptability, and innovation
