About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use SolidWorks to create 3D models and detailed mechanical assemblies for custom-fabricated systems
- Generate shop drawings and production-ready documentation directly from models
- Ensure parametric modeling standards are followed for efficient design iteration
- Communicate effectively with in-house engineers to clarify requirements and expectations
- Manage your own workload independently with a focus on quick-turn execution when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- SolidWorks: 5+ years of experience using SolidWorks in an industrial or manufacturing context
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality mechanical designs with minimal onboarding
- Proficient in preparing manufacturing-ready drawings and assemblies
- Strong understanding of fabrication practices, tolerancing, and DFM principles
- Nice to Have: Experience in the custom equipment, automation, or packaging sectors
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (though rarely used in this role)
- Willingness to work on short-term, fast-turnaround projects
