About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You analyze customer requirements and translate them into scalable, secure cloud-native architectures based on Kubernetes and modern CNCF technologies.
  • You design and operate Kubernetes platforms from cluster design and networking (e.g., Cilium) to GitOps workflows with Argo CD or Flux CD.
  • You consistently use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane, Cluster API) and build CI/CD pipelines that combine security and speed.
  • You advise customers on migration and the creation of Internal Developer Platforms from concept to operation.
  • You communicate at eye level with both technical teams and management, translating technical concepts into business decisions.
  • You conduct architecture reviews, define standards, and actively share your knowledge within the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in cloud and platform environments and know how to operate Kubernetes in production.
  • You are familiar with cloud-native tooling: Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or self-managed), Helm, Argo CD / Flux CD, Kyverno, Cert-Manager, External Secrets, or comparable projects from the CNCF ecosystem.
  • You bring experience with at least one hyperscaler cloud — AWS or Azure — and know how to meaningfully integrate their managed services into cloud-native architectures.
  • You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Crossplane, Cluster API, or comparable tools.
  • Topics such as container security, RBAC, Network Policies, and regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act or NIS2 are not foreign to you.
  • You communicate confidently in German, can convey technical concepts clearly, and enjoy working with cross-functional teams.
  • You can make technical complexity understandable — whether in architecture reviews with developers or in management briefings with decision-makers. You know which language matters when.
  • AI competence: You have experience with cloud providers' AI services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) and can advise customers on their secure and scalable integration.
  • Experience in the insurance, retail, or manufacturing industries is a plus.

Benefits
