About the role
- Support the design process: From concept development to prototyping, bring interaction ideas to life for Human Proxie physical experiences.
- Contribute to defining interaction frameworks for cobots in various environments, ensuring a seamless user experience across multiple touchpoints.
- Work closely with designers, engineers and pilot team to help design and refine digital and physical interactions that shape the overall cobot experience.
- Assist in creating low- and high-fidelity prototypes to test and iterate on human to Proxie physical interactions that improve user engagement and usability.
- Role located at Santa Clara, CA headquarters.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Human-Robot Interaction, Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, Robotics, Human Factors, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio that reflects a wide range of interaction design explorations and practical implementation.
- Healthy balance between research and practical execution.
- Design fundamental skills: research, problem definition, prototyping, and integration.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or Adobe Creative suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Previous internship experience in consultancies or in-house design teams (preferred).
- Senior-level student or recent graduate with a focus on HRI or interaction design (preferred).
