Exploration Technician – Assistant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintaining and updating geological databases for the project
- Teching of drill core
- Cutting of drill core
- Soil, silt and biogeochemical sampling
- Assisting with geophysical surveys
- Assisting the Geology team with accurate and timely data collection in all tasks completed
- Assist in implementing corporate safety and operating policies
- Aid in developing new corporate and operating policies when instances present themselves
- Help in all miscellaneous jobs as required during exploration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience as an Exploration Technician or similar role in the exploration industry is considered an asset, but not required.
- A passion to learn new skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management skills and be self-motivated.
- A positive and adaptable attitude to an ever-changing high demand work environment.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift and move core boxes/sample bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Availability to work rotations up to 28 days in length and live in a camp environment at remote project sites.
