About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to structuring the microelectronics area, actively helping define its technical and operational infrastructure
  • Analyze DAT's project portfolio to identify opportunities for microelectronics applications
  • Propose and develop new projects based on the division's demands and needs
  • Define technical requirements and manufacturing technologies in collaboration with leadership
  • Work on low- to medium-complexity semiconductor development projects, actively participating in technical decisions
  • Plan, execute, and document electrical and functional tests of semiconductors
  • Oversee the full development flow, including tape-out and post-silicon stages
  • Interact with internal departments and external partners, conducting technical alignments
  • Contribute to mentoring and developing early-career professionals
  • Proactively analyze problems and propose technical solutions, contributing to group decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering, or related fields
  • Active CREA registration (Brazilian professional engineering council)
  • Experience in microelectronics/semiconductor development, including work with analog and/or digital circuits
  • Knowledge of the integrated circuit development flow (concept, design, simulation, verification, and validation)
  • Experience with CAD/EDA tools and using PDKs for development, simulation, or verification
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and functional validation in the laboratory
  • Advanced English
  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in microelectronics or semiconductor development (preferred)
  • Experience with the full development flow (tape-out and post-silicon) (preferred)
  • Experience with bring-up, debugging, characterization, and correlation activities (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing flow (preferred)
  • Experience interfacing with foundries (DRC, LVS, PEX, release package) (preferred)
  • Experience with packaging and assembly via external partners (preferred)
  • Knowledge of power and/or high-speed technologies (e.g., SiC, GaN) (preferred)
