About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise data architectures
- Architect, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases
- Lead database modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives across enterprise platforms
- Build and manage cloud-native data platforms using Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Define enterprise data models, governance frameworks, security standards, and data lifecycle management practices
- Optimize database performance, scalability, replication, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Design data platforms supporting AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model workloads
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and DevOps teams
- Establish best practices for data architecture, database design, performance optimization, and security
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, regulatory, and security requirements
- Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to the organization's data ecosystem
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Engineering, or related roles
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph Databases
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale database migration, modernization, architecture design, and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, distributed database systems, governance, security, compliance, and data lifecycle management
- Experience building data platforms supporting AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) applications is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, data warehousing, and big data technologies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Cloud, database, or data architecture certifications are an added advantage
