About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Feed, water, and provide daily care for animals (including barrier-housed animals)
Clean and sanitize animal rooms, cages, and equipment
Transfer animals, supplies, and materials as needed
Assist with grooming, bathing, and exercise
Assist with handling and restraining animals
Observe and report changes in animal health or behavior
Support specimen collection and basic study procedures
Maintain accurate records and data as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in animal care or laboratory settings is a plus
Associate degree or certification in animal science preferred, but not required
Veterinary Technician license is a plus
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to stand and remain active for an 8-hour shift
Comfortable performing cleaning/sanitation tasks involving animal waste
