About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support data collection, analysis, reporting, and verification of emission reduction calculations and project adherence with voluntary compliance standards
  • Assist in coordinating with project partners to track adherence to relevant carbon offset (or other EAC) protocol requirements.
  • Assist in preparing technical analyses and conducting quality assurance reviews of emission reduction calculations and data reports
  • Assist in producing documentation to support procurement, development, and implementation of projects, including procedures, schedules, and deliverables
  • Support communications with project owners/operators, clients, verification bodies, internal stakeholders, and carbon registries
  • Maintain project-related files and update project reporting metrics
  • Assist in coordinating verification site visits and travel to support verifications as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA in applied mathematics, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, or related carbon mitigation fields
  • Strong interest in engineered, market-based solutions to global environmental challenges such as climate change and resource scarcity
  • Comfortable balancing dynamic processes and priorities while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office’s suite of programs and software, particularly Excel.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills with great attention to organization and detail and ability to communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical work with guidance from senior team members
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Occasional business travel as needed, estimated <10% of the time subject to change with ongoing business
  • Familiarity with databases and willingness to learn new software such as Microsoft Fabric
  • Knowledge and experience with modern programming languages
  • Experience with project management information systems
  • Familiarity with greenhouse gas emission reduction projects and carbon offset registries
  • Experience with environmental and industrial monitoring systems, environmental data reporting, project management, and project information management systems.
