Partner directly with the CEO and ELT to set strategic priorities, align resources, and track organizational performance.
Draft and prepare Board, investor, and CEO materials (slides, one-page summaries, KPIs, trend signaling).
Facilitate decision-making by preparing briefings, leading internal meetings, and analyzing data to inform strategy.
Operate as a proxy for the CEO in key forums, ensuring alignment and continuity across internal and external stakeholders.
Design and run the company’s operating cadence (“battle rhythm”), ensuring progress and follow-through on CEO and ELT priorities.
Develop dashboards and Objective Key Results (OKR) frameworks to monitor enterprise performance.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks impeding efficiency and execution, and partner with ELT on resolution.
Act as administrative lead for M&A activities: diligence, integration planning, and post-close transformation.
Support cost and margin improvement initiatives (indirect spend control, utilization, gross-margin levers).
Lead cross-functional integration and harmonization across mission verticals and support functions in a matrixed-environment.
Drive accountability for integration milestones, dependencies, and risk management.
Ensure pipeline, bookings, and product milestones are tied to operating plans.
Partner with HR/Recruiting on talent strategy, retention, workforce planning, and leadership development.
Collaborate with Communications to ensure consistent, timely internal comms.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, mission-focus, and people-first leadership.
Requirements
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in government contracting, corporate strategy, private equity, or investment banking.
Strong exposure to M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition optimization
Deep understanding of matrixed organizational structures, acquisition processes, and corporate boards.
Strong executive communication skills: briefing, slide development, and narrative writing.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives to completion.
Strong business judgment, influencing skills, and collaborative leadership style.
Results-driven with an intense focus on both short- and long-term outcomes.
Experience interacting with private equity (PE)-backed environments, including engagement with investors, portfolio company operations, and value-creation initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in strategy execution, corporate finance, and enterprise-wide operational management.
10+ years of leadership in GovCon program management, business leadership, or general manager roles. (Preferred)
At least 5 years in a Chief of Staff, Senior Program Manager, or Operations Director role within a defense/national security environment. (Preferred)
Project management certifications (PMP, DAWIA, or equivalent). (Preferred)
Prior military service or direct DoD/IC experience. (Preferred)
Familiarity with capture/proposals lifecycle and SaaS/product program management. (Preferred)
