About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of tax and industry professionals delivering tax compliance and consulting services
  • Mentor the team and develop deep understanding of clients' businesses
  • Assume full responsibility for all services for clients in a book of business
  • Review and sign engagement letters and discuss assignment nature and terms with clients and staff
  • Approve fees
  • Review and approve work papers and tax returns prepared by staff
  • Review and sign client deliverables
  • Keep current on tax law changes
  • Develop new business and expand services to existing clients
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm through willingness to devote time to the practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA required; EA or JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification
  • 10+ years of public accounting experience in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm
  • Experience in Agriculture, Food and Beverage, or Real Estate is a plus
