About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the Controller for designated clients
  • Serve as a consultant and advisor on accounting and finance-related best practices
  • Manage multiple clients, projects, workstreams, and deadlines
  • Prepare and analyze client financial statements
  • Make recommendations based on financial statement analysis
  • Foster and build business opportunities
  • Attend industry-leading events and trainings
  • Maintain knowledge of client organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
  • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Seven years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Nonprofit experience highly preferred
  • CPA certification preferred but not required
  • Prior project management experience preferred but not required
  • Prior client management experience preferred but not required
