About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support management of multiple nonprofit clients, software, and charts of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Process or record accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll transactions
- Prepare account reconciliations for prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals
- Prepare, understand, and review basic to moderate financial statements
- Support preparation of general ledger, cash flow, and allocations
- Build process backup as directed by leadership
- Assist with sales tax returns and Form 1099s
- Prepare audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other client-requested forms or items
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accounting and financial experience is preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to support multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts
- Ability to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, payroll, reconciliations, financial statements, and general ledger activities
- Ability to assist with sales tax returns, Form 1099s, audit workpapers, and tax return workpapers
