About the role

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations, including Title IV programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations and implement necessary policy updates.
  • Oversee the processing of student financial aid applications, verification, and awarding.
  • Manage disbursement schedules and reconciliation of funds with the Business Office.
  • Provide clear guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options, eligibility, and application processes.
  • Develop communication strategies to improve understanding and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with audit requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required federal, state, and institutional reports (e.g., FISAP, IPEDS).
  • Partner with Enrollment Management and Finance teams to align financial aid strategies with institutional goals.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, technology, and student experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
  • Expertise in Title IV regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial aid management systems
