About the role

  • Serve as the escalation point for the Service Desk on outages, issues, questions, and requests related to supported applications.
  • Monitor and manage application platforms to ensure full functionality and availability for business operations.
  • Collect, evaluate, and coordinate enhancement requests across business units.
  • Implement application configuration changes as part of scheduled releases.
  • Act as the point person for coordinating patching, releases, and development efforts with vendors and IT teams.
  • Test critical business functions and provide final approval for successful implementations.
  • Serve as the primary contact with application vendors, maintaining awareness of current contracts, licensing details, and planned release functionality.
  • Represent supported applications in change control meetings.
  • Assist in estimating effort for enhancements and system changes.
  • Create release notes to communicate fixes and new capabilities to business users.
  • Collaborate with IT Trainers to produce user documentation and self-help resources.
  • Review business requirement qualification documentation from Business Analysts to ensure alignment with platform direction.
  • Moderate prioritization meetings across multiple service lines to determine targeted enhancements for upcoming releases.
  • Understand and evaluate relationships, dependencies, and impacts across neighboring business functions.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in applications support, system analysis, or IT operations required.
  • Experience planning, facilitating, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements preferred.
  • Experience in test planning, test case development and execution preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Deep business and technical knowledge of the application platform and its usage in the firm.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, release management, and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
