About the role
- Serve as the escalation point for the Service Desk on outages, issues, questions, and requests related to supported applications.
- Monitor and manage application platforms to ensure full functionality and availability for business operations.
- Collect, evaluate, and coordinate enhancement requests across business units.
- Implement application configuration changes as part of scheduled releases.
- Act as the point person for coordinating patching, releases, and development efforts with vendors and IT teams.
- Test critical business functions and provide final approval for successful implementations.
- Serve as the primary contact with application vendors, maintaining awareness of current contracts, licensing details, and planned release functionality.
- Represent supported applications in change control meetings.
- Assist in estimating effort for enhancements and system changes.
- Create release notes to communicate fixes and new capabilities to business users.
- Collaborate with IT Trainers to produce user documentation and self-help resources.
- Review business requirement qualification documentation from Business Analysts to ensure alignment with platform direction.
- Moderate prioritization meetings across multiple service lines to determine targeted enhancements for upcoming releases.
- Understand and evaluate relationships, dependencies, and impacts across neighboring business functions.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience in applications support, system analysis, or IT operations required.
- Experience planning, facilitating, documenting and managing business, functional and technical requirements preferred.
- Experience in test planning, test case development and execution preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Deep business and technical knowledge of the application platform and its usage in the firm.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, release management, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
