About the role

  • Support projects that enhance digital services and improve operational efficiencies through data-driven insights
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support various city projects and initiatives
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address departmental needs
  • Utilize GIS tools for developing location-based services and data visualizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet user needs and organizational goals
  • Monitor and analyze data solution performance, making adjustments and improvements as necessary
  • Develop reports and validate data accuracy to provide insights and support evidence-based decision-making
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to data tools and systems
  • Assist with assigned projects, contributing to data analysis and insights as needed

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic typing and computer skills required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and a background check
  • Level II: Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field, AND completion of two years of coursework
  • Level III: Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program as a Senior or post-graduate program in Data Science, Information Technology, Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • OR, A combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses may be considered
