About the role
- Support projects that enhance digital services and improve operational efficiencies through data-driven insights
- Collaborate with multiple departments to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support various city projects and initiatives
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address departmental needs
- Utilize GIS tools for developing location-based services and data visualizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet user needs and organizational goals
- Monitor and analyze data solution performance, making adjustments and improvements as necessary
- Develop reports and validate data accuracy to provide insights and support evidence-based decision-making
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to data tools and systems
- Assist with assigned projects, contributing to data analysis and insights as needed
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic typing and computer skills required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and a background check
- Level II: Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a closely related field, AND completion of two years of coursework
- Level III: Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program as a Senior or post-graduate program in Data Science, Information Technology, Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- OR, A combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses may be considered
