About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the execution of construction and remodel projects within the supermarket sector
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of supermarket construction projects
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of supermarket refrigeration systems
  • Supervise the installation of HVAC systems and advanced building control systems
  • Develop and manage capital expenditure plans
  • Ensure the proper implementation and ongoing maintenance of supermarket facilities systems
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring strict control over costs and expenses
  • Implement strategies for cost management and financial efficiency
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of systems
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with refrigeration, HVAC, and other integrated systems
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Oversee the quality assurance process for all systems
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including CapEx plans and project progress reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction or engineering sectors
  • Significant experience in supermarket refrigeration, HVAC, and control systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with the installation of supermarket RHVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and control systems (i.e. Danfoss, Emerson, etc.) including CO2, glycol and transcritical
  • Strong understanding of natural refrigerants and energy-efficient technologies in the supermarket sector
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, CMiC) and cost-tracking tools
  • PMP or relevant project management certification is preferred
