About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and build new Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test environments for the integration and testing of software
Continuously further develop test frameworks to automate test procedures
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
Integrate individual components and modules into complete avionic radio equipment
Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analyses together with hardware and software teams
Define test cases, create test procedures, and evaluate test results
Document test results in collaboration with hardware and software teams
Connect measurement devices such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers to test environments and automate their use

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
Experience in low-level/hardware-near software development and testing of complex systems, e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs or RF/wireless technologies
Ideally experience in military or safety-critical environments
Solid knowledge of mobile communications, especially data transmission, networking and the ISO/OSI reference model
Ideally experience in test automation and development of test frameworks
Solid experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD
Knowledge of container technologies, e.g., Docker or Podman
Good programming skills in C/C++
Experience with CMake
Confident handling of Linux and version control systems such as Git
Very good spoken and written German for communication within the project environment and with German-speaking clients
