About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and build new Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test environments for software integration and testing
- Continuously enhance test frameworks to automate test procedures
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
- Integrate individual components and modules into complete airborne radio systems in close coordination with hardware and software developers
- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analyses together with hardware and software teams
- Define test cases, create test procedures, and evaluate test results
- Document results in close collaboration with hardware and software teams
- Connect and automate measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers within test environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in low-level/hardware-near software development and testing of complex systems (e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs, or RF/wireless technologies)
- Solid knowledge of mobile communications, particularly data transmission, networks, and the ISO/OSI reference model
- Ideally, experience in test automation and in developing test frameworks
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker or Podman)
- Good programming skills in C/C++ and experience with CMake
- Confident with Linux and version control systems such as Git
- Very good spoken and written German for communication with German-speaking customers.
