Security Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You assist in the development of IT platforms
- You carry out IT security analyses and assessments as well as penetration tests and evaluate their effectiveness
- You develop and implement IT security policies, procedures and solutions, and act as an internal and external point of contact for information security
- You identify, assess and remediate IT security vulnerabilities in our products (PSIRT)
- You handle the evaluation and implementation of IT security requirements according to customer specifications (e.g., DISA STIG)
- You plan trainings and raise awareness of IT security among our employees and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker), or a comparable qualification
- Relevant security standards, Group Policy, SBOM, Git, VMs and containers, as well as scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell, are familiar to you
- You have analytical thinking skills and the drive to work purposefully through complex issues
- You have strong teamwork and communication skills and work independently in a structured, solution-oriented manner
- Very good spoken and written German is required for effective communication in project environments and with our German-speaking customers.
