About the role
- Execution of component qualifications for product manufacturing lines.
- Foster open and transparent communication with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding of expectations and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to align supplier/component performance with company goals.
- Participate in large-scale projects or lead smaller-scale projects under guidance from senior engineering staff.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in part of a major project or a total project of moderate scope.
- Interface with suppliers and support cross-functional team members to investigate supplied material issues or supply constraints.
- Provide technical support for product manufacturing lines.
- Supplier Engineering Team responsible for pending Component Qualifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably biomedical.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Supplier Engineer or similar.
- Proficiency in statistical tools, such as Minitab.
- Proficiency in report writing skills.
- Preferred: Experience working in a regulated environment per ISO13485 and FDA guidelines.
