About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design graph schemas with node labels and edge types representing designers, garments, style attributes, trends, occasions, and editorial articles
Build batch workflows to ingest structured JSON payloads into Amazon Neptune
Implement probabilistic entity matching using attribute-overlap scoring and confidence thresholds
Deduplicate items appearing inconsistently across different articles
Weight editorial relationships according to the prominence of item or trend mentions
Design and optimize openCypher traversal queries, including multi-hop queries, to return results in under three seconds for Amazon Bedrock Agents
Collaborate with Machine Learning and GenAI Agent Developers to align graph structure with AI-agent retrieval and recommendation needs
Support technical interviews and validation of new graph-workstream team members as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above), with autonomy to communicate directly with international stakeholders
Solid experience with Amazon Neptune and the property graph data model
Experience writing and optimizing openCypher queries, including multi-hop traversals under latency constraints
Experience designing graph schemas and evaluating trade-offs between modeling approaches
Experience building entity resolution logic, including fuzzy matching, scoring algorithms, and deduplication across data sources
Strong Python skills for data engineering and batch processing of structured data payloads
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, staff augmentation setting with an established client team
Prior experience in fashion, retail, or e-commerce catalogs (nice to have)
AWS certification in databases or data analytics (nice to have)
Experience integrating graph databases with generative AI agents, such as Amazon Bedrock Agents (nice to have)
Familiarity with recommendation systems or ranking/weighting logic for content surfacing (nice to have)
