About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and evolve the integration architecture between legacy systems and new solutions, ensuring a safe transition with no impact on production environments.
  • Design and implement an Event-Driven Architecture using messaging for asynchronous communication between services and data replication.
  • Design solutions based on the CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) pattern, ensuring separation between reads and writes, high availability, and data consistency.
  • Define the microservices architecture, including communication patterns, resilience, observability, scalability, and security.
  • Design and implement strategic platform components, such as event buses and specialized services (e.g., Intelligent Queue microservice).
  • Define and maintain Cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Structure and evolve CI/CD pipelines, promoting automation, quality, and agility in the development and deployment cycle.
  • Act as the technical reference for defining architectural standards, best practices, and technology direction alongside development teams.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure and Cloud resources to achieve greater operational efficiency and cost reduction.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in software architecture and designing distributed, highly available solutions.
  • Experience with Cloud providers such as AWS and/or Azure, including architecture, managed services, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Experience building Event-Driven Architectures using technologies like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar.
  • Advanced knowledge of the CQRS pattern, Event Sourcing (desirable), and synchronization strategies between legacy systems and new platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous service-to-service communication.
  • Experience defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, distributed logging, and troubleshooting production applications.
  • Experience with architectural patterns, system integration, scalability, resilience, and application security.
  • Experience with Event Sourcing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
  • Experience in legacy system modernization projects and architectural transformation.
