About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Explore, analyze, interpret and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Build, maintain and evolve data pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL.
Support the structuring of modern cloud data environments, preferably Azure.
Work on organizing, standardizing, transforming, validating and provisioning data for analytical and operational consumption.
Identify patterns, inconsistencies, duplicates, information gaps and opportunities for improvement in datasets.
Perform descriptive, exploratory and comparative analyses to generate insights and support decision-making.
Investigate root causes of issues related to data quality, consistency, availability and reliability.
Apply data profiling, sampling, validation, dataset comparison and quality monitoring techniques.
Support or develop analytical automations to optimize routines, accelerate analyses and generate recommendations.
Use artificial intelligence concepts, agents and multi-agent systems to discover opportunities and support decision-making.
Build analytical reports, dashboards, executive presentations and leadership support materials.
Document methodologies, processes, business rules, hypotheses, pipelines, analyses and results in an organized manner.
Collaborate with technical teams, data teams, engineering, architecture, governance and business units.
Contribute to the evolution of data products, Data Mesh architecture and best practices for engineering, governance and data quality.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Experience with Databricks, including data engineering, processing and transformation.
Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture and concepts related to data products.
Experience building, maintaining and optimizing data pipelines.
Development experience using Python and PySpark for data handling, analysis, automation and processing.
Experience with SQL for querying, manipulating, analyzing and validating data.
Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, governance, data profiling and documentation best practices.
Experience working in cloud data environments, preferably Azure.
Experience analyzing and processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Ability to create analytical reports, executive presentations and PowerPoint support materials.
Interest or experience with Generative AI, agents, multi-agent systems and modern data analysis techniques.
