About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Executive Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain analytical, managerial, and operational dashboards focused on clarity, performance, and user experience for senior leadership, including VPs and the international board in the payments and acquiring sector.
- UX/UI Applied to Data Visualization: Create visually consistent, intuitive, and usability-driven dashboards that combine aesthetics, analytical clarity, and decision-making efficiency, reducing cognitive load and accelerating data interpretation.
- Mastery of Financial KPIs: Translate and monitor critical financial indicators—such as revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecast, and budget vs. actual—into strategic visualizations that support executive decisions with precision and context.
- Analysis and Deviation Detection: Proactively apply analytical skills to identify anomalies, deviations, and root causes in financial and operational data, anticipating issues and proposing corrections before they are requested by leadership.
- Governance and Data Quality: Ensure traceability, consistency, validation, and auditability of the information presented in dashboards, guaranteeing visualizations are backed by reliable data and comply with organizational standards.
- Performance and Scalability: Optimize queries and dashboards to ensure high performance and scalability in environments with large volumes of financial and transaction data.
- Automation and Self-Service Analytics: Identify and automate manual report generation processes and build self-service analytics solutions that increase business users’ autonomy in consuming data.
- Modeling and Data Consumption via Databricks: Use Databricks connected to the database as the central tool for data access and consumption, applying strong SQL and modeling skills to structure consistent visualizations—without needing to perform transformations or migrations, which are handled by the engineering team.
- Building with Power BI: Develop robust solutions in Power BI as the primary BI tool, ensuring high technical standards, KPI standardization, and component reuse.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Proactively propose innovative visual approaches and continuously raise the aesthetic and functional standards of dashboards—bringing initiatives rather than waiting for requests.
- Interaction with Executive Stakeholders: Communicate directly with finance and executive leadership from our client to gather analytical needs, present results, and translate business requirements into effective visualization solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience developing executive dashboards and data visualizations, with demonstrated mastery of Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for accessing, exploring, and validating information in analytical environments.
- Experience with Databricks for data access and consumption connected to databases — a fundamental technical requirement.
- Knowledge of financial KPIs (revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecast, budget vs. actual) and the ability to translate them into strategic visualizations.
- Analytical ability to detect anomalies, deviations, and root causes in financial and operational data, with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Senior profile with high autonomy, a consultative approach, and the ability to interact directly with executive leadership without intermediaries.
- Intermediate/Advanced English (B2 level or higher) for stakeholder communication and technical meetings conducted in English.
- Nice to have:
- Portfolio with examples of dashboards developed that demonstrate business impact (sensitive data and client names properly masked).
- Knowledge of Tableau and/or Looker as complementary visualization tools.
- Experience with report automation and building self-service analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance (LGPD/Brazilian data protection, access control, and handling of sensitive data in the financial sector).
- Experience working with large volumes of data in the context of financial transactions, payment methods, or acquiring.
- Certifications in BI tools or related data disciplines.
- Experience applying GenAI to dashboards and analytics, using intelligent features for insight generation, information summarization, natural language interaction, and user-focused data exploration support.
