About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and optimize our AWS EC2 and EKS clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
- Lead the troubleshooting of production outages, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Engage with development teams to address questions, provide support, and share best practices for deployment and operations.
- Effectively communicate with Directors and other stakeholders, providing updates on cluster status, incidents, and ongoing improvements.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to streamline deployment processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience in DevOps/SRE roles with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Proficient in AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, LoadBalancers, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch or NewRelic).
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Experience with Helm charts (public and customized ones)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Understanding of GitOps tools (Flux or ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of AWS CDK for IaC.
- Familiarity with Java applications.
