About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act cross-team, supporting squads in resolving reliability, performance and architecture issues.
  • Identify bottlenecks and act proactively to prevent production incidents.
  • Develop internal tools, services and CLIs to abstract the complexity of cloud, Kubernetes and Azure Container Apps.
  • Design and evolve Golden Paths for secure, scalable, self-service deployments.
  • Implement and advance SRE practices such as SLIs, SLAs, SLOs, Error Budgets and observability.
  • Respond to critical incidents by performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis and defining preventive actions.
  • Design and maintain GitOps pipelines and promotion strategies across environments.
  • Develop and standardize reusable Helm charts.
  • Implement advanced deployment strategies such as Canary Releases and Blue/Green deployments.
  • Evolve pipelines and automations using GitHub Actions at enterprise scale.
  • Provision and standardize infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement across teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure, including APIM, Azure Container Apps, Networking, Storage and Databases.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with GitOps, Helm charts and modern deployment strategies.
  • Experience with Terraform, including modularization, versioning and module reuse.
  • Proficiency with GitHub Actions, API-driven automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring and troubleshooting using logs, metrics and tracing.
  • Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLIs, SLAs, SLOs, Error Budgets and incident response.
  • Strong development background using Python or similar languages.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and self-service platform development.
  • Ability to act consultatively and influence technical decisions across multiple teams.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and internal engineering platforms (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of Service Mesh and advanced traffic management strategies (nice to have).
  • Experience with Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) (nice to have).
  • Experience with cloud security and governance (nice to have).
  • Experience in high-scale, high-criticality environments (nice to have).
