About the role

  • Design System Ownership
  • Build and document components, tokens, states, behaviors.
  • Maintain the Figma libraries;
  • Component Creation & Quality.
  • Design and deliver scalable UI components and patterns.
  • Define accessibility, responsiveness, and motion principles.
  • Review component contributions from teams.
  • Developer Partnership
  • Ensure parity between Figma and Storybook.
  • Maintain the coded component library (React, ChakraUI).
  • Establish contribution rules, governance, and release cadence.
  • Launch and animate the Design System Community
  • Create training, show-and-tells, and onboarding materials.
  • Support product teams in transitioning to DS adoption.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate component generation, documentation, and pattern suggestions.
  • Pilot smart linting and AI-based QA for design system usage.
  • Work with B2C, B2B, B2O designers to understand needs and roadmap.
  • Partner with DesignOps to define governance.
