About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and maintain an assigned group of wells
  • Monitor daily production, equipment, and performance to ensure proper volumes are attained and maintained
  • Measure and record production at well sites
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Report changes in individual well performance and concerns about wells, well sites, or equipment
  • Communicate operating issues and problems with production foremen and superintendents
  • Coordinate oil sales and water disposal
  • Treat oil to meet pipeline and equipment specifications
  • Ensure operational compliance with governmental requirements and company policies
  • Safely drive to and from wells and well sites
  • Perform duties according to company standard operating procedures and regulatory and EH&S guidelines
  • Complete other duties as assigned or based on business need

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 21 years old for Company motor vehicle insurance
  • Must live within a 75-mile radius of Mandaree, ND
  • Familiarity with operating POCs, rod pumps, and flowing wells
  • Must possess and maintain HAZWOPER certification
  • Must complete required H2S training
  • Ability to handle extreme weather conditions and areas where hazardous chemicals are present
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, and walk extensively
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical
  • Must meet all physical requirements of the job
  • Petroleum Production Certificate or similar education (preferred)
  • 1 year related experience (preferred)
  • 1 year oil and gas experience (preferred)
