About the role

  • Work closely with the Brief Services team to speak with community members referred to Children’s Law Center
  • Conduct intakes and help provide brief services for a range of legal issues, especially education and housing conditions
  • Provide direct client contact and help resolve meaningful problems for children and families in DC
  • Participate in Special Legal Projects including healthy housing advocacy, impact litigation, and collaborative work
  • Flexible hours; position can be remote, hybrid, or in-person; law clerks should be available at least 15 hours

Requirements

  • Current law students or recent law school graduates
  • Available at least 15 hours
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or in person (hybrid roles expect in-person work at Children’s Law Center’s office in Washington, DC)
