About the role
- Work closely with the Brief Services team to speak with community members referred to Children’s Law Center
- Conduct intakes and help provide brief services for a range of legal issues, especially education and housing conditions
- Provide direct client contact and help resolve meaningful problems for children and families in DC
- Participate in Special Legal Projects including healthy housing advocacy, impact litigation, and collaborative work
- Flexible hours; position can be remote, hybrid, or in-person; law clerks should be available at least 15 hours
Requirements
- Current law students or recent law school graduates
- Available at least 15 hours
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or in person (hybrid roles expect in-person work at Children’s Law Center’s office in Washington, DC)
