About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with families through ongoing communication and regular home visits.
  • Connect families with in-house and community resources that support their health, education, and well-being.
  • Serve as a liaison between families, program staff, and community partners to ensure coordinated support services.
  • Help families identify strengths, assess needs, establish goals, and access resources that promote long-term success.
  • Monitor and support child attendance, health, dental, and family service requirements to ensure children receive comprehensive services.
  • Plan and facilitate parent engagement opportunities, including monthly parent meetings and volunteer activities.
  • Support Family Child Care provider meetings and contribute expertise around family engagement and support services.
  • Assist with recruitment, enrollment, orientation, and retention efforts to help families access Early Head Start services.
  • Maintain accurate records and case management documentation in ChildPlus and other required systems.
  • Track and document program in-kind contributions, including parent volunteer participation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children, families, and community partners, with at least two years of experience in a social service agency or similar environment.
  • A passion for empowering families and supporting young children during their most critical years of development.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Experience working in Family Child Care, home visiting, homeless shelters, or other non-traditional early childhood settings.
