About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across all building systems
- Construct, install, and repair frameworks, structures, and fixtures
- Interact across departments within the organization and with vendors
- Respond to building emergencies
- Execute routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and facilitate repairs on all building systems and equipment
- Assess and service a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of hydrotherapy pools
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Inspect entire facility daily for any faults
- Assist with inventory management of all equipment on property
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous carpentry experience in a commercial, industrial, or institutional environment
- High School diploma/GED required plus 5+ years of work experience or associate degree, technical certification or completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship
- Strong tool proficiency including safe operation of hand and power tools
- Strong spatial awareness and ability to calculate precise dimensions, angles, and material quantities
- Proficiency in general trades knowledge
- Minor electrical work experience
- Basic plumbing skills
- A Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) License is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Must be organized, able to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in reading building plans and blueprints preferred
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings
