About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare annual business plans, financial forecasts, budgets, and support strategic planning and deployment processes
  • Support efforts to achieve working capital targets and assist in resolving issues related to inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Provide timely reporting of financial results and activities, including analysis of performance variances and trends
  • Collect and report data on key operational variables and maintain accounting data necessary for cost allocation and cost of quality analysis
  • Deliver financial analyses and business insight to support decision-making and communicate the impact of decisions on risk, profitability, and cash flow
  • Identify cost of quality issues related to products, processes, and quality systems and initiate actions to prevent nonconformities
  • Recommend and support solutions and continuous improvements in product and process quality
  • Assist in improving profitability through in-depth operational analysis and identification of areas of weakness and opportunity
  • Support corporate financial requirements including tax, audit, financial close, and reporting activities
  • Ensure accounting and financial records are properly maintained and internal controls are operating effectively
  • Provide finance and accounting support for Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain standard cost systems and manufacturing rates
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures and requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Eight or more years of financial experience
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Significant experience in cost accounting, financial forecasting, and capital investment decision-making within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively and exercise tact and discretion
  • Strong internal and external customer focus
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel as required
