About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Teach master’s and doctoral-level courses for the counseling programs
Develop curriculum, including student practicum and internship
Supervise counseling student-interns, including site visits
Advise and recruit students
Work cooperatively with clinical mental health agencies
Participate in program, school, and university activities such as information sessions, admissions processes, and workshops
Assist in occasional school and university recruitment activities
Teach face-to-face and synchronous online courses as needed
Consider leadership opportunities in the PhD program as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need

An earned doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program
Licensure-eligible in the state of South Carolina
Identification with the counseling profession through membership in professional organizations (e.g., ACA and/or its divisions)
Experience in teaching and clinical supervision of counselors-in-training
Evidence of scholarly activities related to clinical counseling and counselor training
Familiarity with technology, distance learning, and CACREP standards
Qualified to teach core counseling courses on CSU’s campus
Strong commitment to integrating Christian faith into counseling education and teaching doctoral students to do the same.
