Adjunct Professor – Criminal Justice/Law

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses related to criminal law, constitutional law, criminal procedure, ethics, and related legal topics.
- Bring both academic knowledge and practical legal experience to the classroom.
- Help prepare students for careers in criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, legal studies, and related fields.
- Teach courses at all undergraduate levels both in-person or online and even at the online graduate level.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated knowledge of criminal law and the U.S. legal system as a practicing attorney or former legal practitioner with a J.D.
- Ability to connect real-world experience to criminal justice education and student career preparation.
- Experience teaching college-level introductory courses in Criminal Law.
- Specialized classes in Judicial Systems and Practices, Constitutional and Legal Issues for Law Enforcement, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure is preferred.
- Candidates who are professing Christians and who are committed to excellence in teaching.
- Support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to examine with students the integration of faith and learning.
