Collaborates with executive staff and departmental teams to develop, implement, maintain, and control essential operating, financial, and information systems.
Defines and tracks key performance indicators and strategic objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
Advises senior leadership on the impact of long-term planning, new initiatives, and regulatory developments.
Oversees the organization’s fiscal functions and financial performance.
Builds credibility for the finance department by delivering timely, accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends to support executive decision-making.
Improves operational effectiveness by developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and systems organization-wide.
Requirements
Must have tax experience with US and Canadian law and experience with an ESOP is a plus.
Experience as a CFO or a strong background as a Sr. Controller.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or similar.
At least ten years of experience in the financial function of a company required.
5+ years in a senior leadership position.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Certified Public Accountant status highly desired.
Experience working in a partnership organization (i.e. legal, accounting, consulting services) strongly preferred.
