About the role
- The Director of Accreditation plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the consistent application of CHAP standards and regulatory requirements across home and community-based care settings.
- This position oversees accreditation activities within an assigned specialty and geographic region, collaborates with surveyors (site visitors) and accreditation leaders, and supports decision-making throughout the survey process.
- The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and subject matter expert with deep experience in Medicare-certified home health, hospice, or related community-based healthcare settings.
- This individual thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in home health, hospice, or community-based healthcare.
- Expertise in accreditation, regulatory compliance, and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
- A strong commitment to quality improvement and healthcare excellence.
- Exceptional communication, decision-making, and team leadership skills.
- A desire to contribute to a nationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required; nursing preferred.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related discipline preferred.
- Significant experience in Medicare-certified home health, hospice, or community-based care.
- Prior accreditation or survey experience is highly desirable.
