About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with senior leaders and managers to understand business objectives and align HR strategies and initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on HR matters and organizational effectiveness.
Identify HR trends, issues, opportunities, challenges, and risks.
Support and drive employee engagement initiatives and help build a best-in-class remote BPO employee experience.
Ensure compliance with Colombian labour law and applicable US federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Advise on employment contracts, working hours, leave entitlements, disciplinary procedures, terminations, and other legal requirements.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Colombia and the United States and communicate relevant updates.
Act as primary HR liaison with the Employer of Record, managing employee lifecycle processes and mitigating organizational risk.
Develop, implement, review, and localize HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Educate employees and managers on HR policies and conduct compliance audits.
Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
Investigate and address employee complaints or concerns.
Mediate disputes and facilitate communication between employees and managers.
Analyze HR metrics and data, and prepare reports with insights and recommendations for management.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
Experience focused on US and Colombian labour law and corrective action processes
Strong knowledge of US and Colombian HR practices
Experience working with an Employer of Record (EOR) model would be advantageous
Proven experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive insights and support decision-making
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Fluency in English is essential
