About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engineer the semantic interoperability layer for the Florida Office of the Chief Inspector General contract
  • Build a standardized, repeatable data translation framework to transition a data analytics POC into an enterprise-ready Decision Intelligence Platform
  • Lead NIEM compliance and compatibility strategy, including conformance levels, component reuse, domain extensibility, and constraint mitigation
  • Define, build, and maintain the platform's canonical data model
  • Develop cross-system mapping and standardization frameworks across legacy source systems
  • Design and implement record-linkage models and identifier normalization logic for vendors and transactions
  • Coordinate with source-system data owners across state departments
  • Produce data dictionaries, transformation documentation, source-to-canonical lineages, and data-exchange specifications
  • Map and support ingestion pipelines for invoices, purchase orders, contracts, vendor ledgers, and financial fields
  • Build reusable automated data-mapping templates for onboarding 8–10 state agencies
  • Maintain technical accountability for vendor-neutral, NIEM-aligned data architectures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of enterprise data integration, data warehousing, or data architecture experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on data integration experience within a federal, state, or local government framework
  • Documented, verifiable experience designing and executing NIEM-conformant or NIEM-compatible information exchanges
  • Advanced familiarity with NIEM domains, data components, exchange specifications, and extension rules
  • Extensive source-to-target mapping, data profiling, metadata logging, and data-lineage cataloging experience
  • Experience with JSON, XML, REST APIs, CSV flat files, database views, and automated batch/SFTP pathways
  • Experience establishing automated cross-system data reconciliation scripts and validation profiling rules
  • U.S.-based citizen or resident currently living inside the United States
  • Ability to pass an FDLE Level II background screening, including fingerprinting, within 5 business days of contract award
  • Strong preference for legacy state financial/procurement integration experience
  • Procurement, contract, purchasing-card, vendor-payment, or grant-management data-domain familiarity preferred
  • Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 experience preferred
  • Master data management or programmatic entity-resolution specialization preferred
  • Secure government interoperability or federated identity standards knowledge preferred
  • Resume must explicitly document government customer, NIEM implementation details, integration complexity, personal contribution, deployment status, and quantifiable results
