About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect the user experience and reporting interface for a high-visibility Florida OCIG contract
Lead design, security integration, and optimization of executive-level and analyst-level dashboards
Transform a data analytics POC into an enterprise-ready Decision Intelligence Platform
Develop dashboards presenting automated anomaly and risk results with supporting transactional evidence
Build persona-based workspace layouts for executives and agency analysts
Configure scalable agency-specific data views
Implement RBAC and RLS data-governance models
Design standardized reporting metrics for cost avoidance, financial recoveries, risk exposure, investigative referrals, and oversight efficiencies
Tune query performance, data models, and calculations to meet speed and latency thresholds
Build data quality and ledger reconciliation reports
Lead report training sessions and facilitate UAT workshops
Ensure full system handover and technical accountability

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of comprehensive business intelligence, reporting infrastructure, or data analytics experience
5+ years of advanced, hands-on enterprise Power BI development experience
Mastery of advanced DAX and Power Query/M
Expert understanding of dimensional data modeling, star schemas, semantic layers, and enterprise data warehousing
Experience configuring drill-through actions, contextual filters, and transaction-level detail views with data lineage
Experience establishing reporting frameworks and export-ready PDF and Excel formatting
Documented experience connecting Power BI to Azure data-source architectures
Experience participating in user requirements workshops, mapping business needs, and executing validation test scripts
Verifiable experience delivering analytics or BI solutions for local, state, military, or federal government entities
Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility guidelines and government reporting standards
Must be a U.S.-based citizen or resident currently living inside the United States
Must successfully clear an FDLE Level II background screening, including fingerprinting, within 5 business days of contract award
Strong preference for Azure Government cloud experience
Strong preference for Azure Databricks and ADLS Gen2 experience
Strong preference for fraud detection, improper payments, procurement risk, contract auditing, or investigative case management dashboards
Strong preference for automated Power BI deployment pipelines integrated with Git or Azure DevOps
Resume must explicitly identify government customers, report scale and complexity, personal engineering contributions, system status, and quantifiable delivery results
