About the role
- Work collaboratively with Chamber of Progress colleagues to achieve policy goals
- Provide substantive short-form commentary on European tech policy topics, including in particular AI and European competitiveness
- Familiarity with a range of other digital policy areas including blockchain, autonomous vehicles, online speech and content policy, privacy, sharing economy, taxation, and workforce issues
- Draft rapid response commentary for social media, providing an industry perspective on tech and innovation policy developments
- Anticipate and ideate solutions for policy challenges that tech companies face in Europe, in light of developments
- Strategize with organisation's partner companies on European policy matters
- Build relationships with industry stakeholders, civil society, and policymakers
- Draft a monthly newsletter summarising recent EU policy developments
- Draft letters, blog posts, statements, testimony, and consultation responses as needed
- Participate in panels and at conferences to drive the policy discussion
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years post-college work experience
- Organised, curious, multi-tasker, with an appetite for learning and achievement
- Experience in European politics, government, or public policy
- Prior experience with technology and innovation policy
- Excellent English writing abilities; must be a creative, succinct, and a fast writer
- Must be located in Brussels
- Must be able to work as a contractor
