About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a consultant on school nursing services and activities for CESA 6 alternative schools
- Communicate with and respond to partnering school districts and school nurses in a timely, professional, and accurate manner
- Represent the Agency and school districts to DPI pertaining to School Nursing
- Take responsibility for professional growth based on feedback, research and best practice
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensure as a registered nurse
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the field of school nursing
- Licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing as a Registered Nurse (75) is preferred
- Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED
- CPR instructor certified preferred
- Knowledge of developmental and health needs of school-age children
- Knowledge of rules, regulations and policies on state and federal laws related to programming for Special Education

- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse work teams

- Communicate effectively and timely, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
- Plan, organize and prioritize work
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
