About the role
- Maintain and operate the entire testing infrastructure for the involved systems, such as test data, scripts, artifacts, simulators, routines, and business processes;
- Test management and planning, with the ability to produce basic test documentation such as strategies, plans, test cases, and test scripts;
- Familiarity with test management tools, bug/defect tracking, test automation, test data generation, and virtualized interface generation;
- Create scripts in specific tools (automated and manual) and execute them, recording and analyzing results;
- Execute acceptance, compatibility, regression, integration, functional and non-functional tests (exploratory, connectivity, vulnerability, stress and load) according to the needs of each request (based on impact analysis or client-defined needs);
- Build mocks, stubs and/or simulators to enable test execution;
- Evaluate a system’s non-functional performance requirements using specialized tools and monitors;
- Monitor and track test coverage levels for systems, promoting increased coverage when necessary;
- Log defects found after test execution, linking them to the relevant work products;
- Assess the result of each test cycle;
- Support managers and responsible teams in the sign-off (homologation) of system requests;
- Understand requirement notations in both agile and traditional development models; create tests based on business scenarios; design tests based on experience and defect patterns;
- Develop software test scenarios; identify common software defects and failures;
- Understand business, requirements, development and testing to act as co-responsible for the entire development cycle;
- Assist the Product Owner in writing acceptance criteria for backlog stories;
- Support the Product Owner in accepting sprint stories;
- Assist in writing automated unit tests;
- Perform ATDD, BDD and/or Specification by Example;
- Maintain system cycles (active homologation) in defined environments, including daily, monthly, batch routines and interfaces;
- Knowledge of common software failure modes and testing techniques; plan/execute tests to align scope with available time; evaluate common security aspects indicated by the OWASP organization (https://www.owasp.org/); evaluate non-functional performance requirements of a system using specific tools and monitors; use specialized tools for automation, performance, and for planning, managing and executing tests;
- Experience producing basic test documentation such as Plans, Test Scripts, Evidence and Test Data; create scripts in specialized tools and work with automated execution using variable test data pools (datapools);
- Identify the target test items to be assessed by testing effort; evaluate the result of each test cycle;
- Maintain system cycles in the client’s lab environment; maintain daily, monthly, batch routines and interfaces;
- Knowledge of test management tools, bug tracking and test automation tools; experience in test management and planning; experience evaluating non-functional performance requirements of a system using specialized tools and monitors.
Requirements
- At least one of the certifications below, or equivalent:
- ATC – Certified Test Analyst from IBQTS (Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade em Testes de Software);
- CBTS – Brazilian Software Testing Certification from ALATS (Latin American Association for Software Testing) or equivalent certifications;
- CTFL – Certified Tester Foundation Level (ISTQB CTFL);
- CTFL-AT – Certified Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester (BSTQB or ISTQB Agile Tester)
