Evaluate, plan, test and implement complex technology projects including major system and application deployments, software and firmware upgrades, COTS and in-house applications, and architect technical solutions
Evaluate the need for new system platforms and upgrades to legacy systems; identify and recommend improvements; define scope and negotiate with vendors; prepare bid specifications and procure equipment
Lead the implementation of complex business and technical requirements
Analyze, plan, and develop hybrid systems across software, web, and hardware platforms
Provide application testing and database management support throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and maintain systems using a structured SDLC process: specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance
Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware components into cohesive solutions
Support enterprise architecture efforts using tools such as IBM's System Architect in alignment with DoDAF
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, network engineers, and program managers
Document system workflows and create architectural diagrams to support planning and operational decision-making
Requirements
Six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in implementation of business and technical requirements
Experience analyzing, planning and development; application testing; and database management support
Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as IBM’s System Architect
High degree of skills with the MS Office toolsets
Candidate will work on-site in Dahlgren, VA
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field is preferred
DoD 8570 IAT III: one of the following required: CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or CISSP Associate, GCED, GCIH
DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret
